Lawyer of Davinder Singh pointed out that neither did the police file a chargesheet within the statutory period of 90 days nor was the permission sought to extend the period.
New Delhi| Davinder Singh, the suspended Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Superintendent of Police who was arrested has been granted bail. The bail was granted as the Delhi police failed to file a chargesheet within three months as prescribed under the law in another case.
