Farmers’ Protest: Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh Huddle At PM Modi’s Residence Ahead of Meeting With Agitators

Earlier on Friday, farmers said that if the three agricultural laws are not withdrawn, they will go on nationwide strike (Bharat Bandh) on 8th December.

 

New Delhi| The farmers’ protest against the new farm laws continues for the 10th day. There will be another round of talks between the government and farmer organizations at 2 pm today. Before this, an important meeting is being held at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s house. Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal are present in it. Modi’s ministers have been discussing even before the last meetings with farmers, but for the first time, a strategy is being made in the presence of the Prime Minister. Before attending this meeting, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh said, “We sincerely hope that the farmers will end the movement keeping a positive mind.”

Earlier on Friday, farmers said that if the three agricultural laws are not withdrawn, they will go on nationwide strike (Bharat Bandh) on 8th December. The farmers have also warned to occupy all the toll plazas. After the farmers’ meeting on Friday, their leader Harvinder Singh Lakhwal warned that in the coming days, protesters will also block the remaining roads of Delhi. Farmers’ organizations have also called for burning effigies of PM Modi today.
