Jain Muni Tarun Sagar passed away this morning on Saturday after prolonged illness in Delhi. He was 51 years of age.
Sagar had been admitted to a hospital on Wednesday after his medical state critical. He was known to be suffering from jaundice since 14 days before he said no to further treatment a few days back.
After he was admitted to the hospital, a number of Jain monks from the nation travelled to pay a visit to him. Being internationally acclaimed, Sagar was most popular for his lecture series known as ‘Kadve Pravachan’.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his condolences on the demise of the religious leader, taking cognizance of his contribution to the society.

Rajnath Singh, Union Minister too, expressed his grief saying that the monk’s untimely death has left him shocked.

Minister of commerce and industry and civil aviation, stated that Tarun Sagar’s demise was a personal loss to him given that he knew him and was blessed by him.
