New Twist In Indore Man Thrashing Case: Victim Booked For Allegedly Molesting Minor

After a group of people thrashed a man in Indore and accused him of molesting women, he has been booked under sections of the Pocso act for allegedly having molested a minor girl.

A group of people thrashed and abused a youth in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, accusing him of molesting women under the excuse of selling bangles. A viral video of the incident was circulated on social media where some men can be seen thrashing the bangle seller on the street.

Three people namely Rakesh Kumar, Rajkumar Bhatnagar and Vivek Vyas have been arrested for allegedly having assaulted the victim.

During the police investigation and interrogation, a new twist has emerged in the case. A case has been filed against the victim of the assault, named Golu alias Taslim alias Aslim, under sections of Pocso act for molesting a minor girl. He also allegedly created a fake identity card for himself.

The police case was registered on the complaint of a Class 6 student. The student wrote in her report that on August 22, a boy came to sell bangles to her at 2 pm. He gave his name as Mohan Singh and showed a burnt voter ID card for identification. She was with her mother at home at the time.

When the mother of the girl went inside to get money to pay him, the young man allegedly grabbed her hand with ā€˜bad intentionsā€™ and started molesting her. When she shouted, the people around came and he started running.

Two Aadhar cards were found in his bag. On one, his name is written as Aslim and on the other it says Taslim. A half-burnt voter ID card was also found with him.

ā€œOne of the arrested accused is the father of the victim girl. After this incident, a case has also been registered against more than a dozen people of the Muslim community for gheraoing the Central Kotwali police station,ā€ said Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Bagri.
