Mallya, the defunct Kingfisher promoter, has been wanted in India over his alleged fraud and money laundering charges amounting to 9,000 crores.
Mumbai| Liquor tycoon Vijay Mallya, who has fled the country and has been fighting against his extradition to Indian in the UK, on Thursday asked the government to accept his offer to repay 100% of his loans dues and close the case against him. While congratulating the government on the 20 Crore economic package, Mallya re-iterated that his repeated offers to pay his debts have been ignored.
“Congratulations to the Government for a Covid 19 relief package. They can print as much currency as they want BUT should a small contributor like me who offers 100% payback of State owned Bank loans be constantly ignored?” Mallya posted on his Twitter handle.

Mallya, the defunct Kingfisher promoter, has been wanted in India over his alleged fraud and money laundering charges amounting to 9,000 crores, said, “Please take my money unconditionally and close.”
Earlier, Mallya had filed an appeal in UK supreme court this month, after losing an appeal in London high court against extradition to India over charges of fraud and money laundering linked to the unrecovered loans to Kingfisher airlines.
Mally had earlier claimed the same through his Twitter handle, conveying that he had offered to pay 100% amount of his loan taken in the name of Kingfisher Airlines, but neither the banks are willing to accept the amount, nor the Enforcement Department was willing to release his assets on the behest of banks which have been attached.
