Referring to the audio clips the BJP Spokesperson Sambit Patra asked whether the government use non-constitutional methods to protect itself.
New Delhi| Amidst the allegations of horse-trading levelled by the Congress after the damning audiotapes revelation, the BJP held a press conference on Saturday on phone tapping. Finding itself in the docks over allegations of buying MLAs for Rs 25-35 Crores, BJP sought to counter by asking the Rajasthan gov whether the phones were tapped officially?
Referring to the audio clips the BJP asked whether the government use non-constitutional methods to protect itself. It also suggested that the phone tapping must be investigated by the CBI.
BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra said, “Since the Rajasthan government was formed in 2018, Gehlot and Pilot factions have been fighting on the streets. After Gehlot became CM, there was a cold war in Congress. Gehlot himself has said in front of the media that for 18 months there were no talks between the CM and the Deputy CM. After that, you saw that the matter reached the high command. It reached the High Court from the High Command. All this conspiracy was being hatched in Congress itself.”
