Weeks After Following PM Modi On Twitter, White House Hits “Unfollow”

The White House has unfollowed President Kovind, PM Modi, PMO, the Indian Embassy in Washington and the US Embassy in New Delhi.

New Delhi: Nearly three weeks after the official Twitter handle of the White House followed PM Modi, President Kovind and the PMO on Twitter, it has now unfollowed all of them.

Around April 10, the White House followed the personal Twitter handles of PM Modi and President Kovind. With this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Ram Nath Kovind became the only world leaders who were followed by the White House on Twitter.

White House then followed 19 Twitter handles and all non-American accounts were Indian. Now it follows 13.

It has also unfollowed the Indian Embassy in Washington and the US Embassy in New Delhi.

PM Modi and US President Donald Trump share warm relations and as a result, India and the US have strong bilateral relations.
