New Delhi : After 10 days passed away, there is no sign over government formation in Maharashtra, Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar is likely to arrive here on Monday to meet the Indian National Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi.
In Maharashtra, the leaders of the two allies are expected to discuss the unfolding political situation. After the meeting whether to support the ShivSena, which is unhappy with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), its ally they may clarify their stand.

Meanwhile, some Congress leaders, like Hussain Dalwai, are openly advocating extending support to the Sena for forming the government; others, like Sanjay Nirupam, are advising caution. Former Mumbai Congress president Sanjay Nirupam has attacked party leaders pushing for extending the support to the Shiv Sena in government formation.
On the other hand amid the stalemate, the ShivSena has claimed support of 175 legislators.
Fadnavis to meet Amit Shah:
Meanwhile, Devendra Fadnavis will also meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi. Sources say that the meeting is to discuss the situation of farmers in Maharashtra who have been hit by the untimely rain. However, they will also discuss the impasse in Maharashtra.
