I’m fed up with the centre & TDP government, won’t attend No-confidence motion: JC Diwakar Reddy

New Delhi | In a major setback to the No-confidence motion issued by the Telegu Desam Party (TDP) in Lok Sabha, TDP leader JC Diwakar Reddy on Thursday said that “He is “fed up” with the centre and his party’s government in Andhra Pradesh”.

Speaking to media, Diwakar Reddy said,” I’m not going to attend the parliament session, you can say that I violated the party whip. I’m fed up with the centre and our TDP govt. I’m fed up with the whole political system”. “Right now I am in my native place in Anantapur and will come in front of the media with my logic within a week,” he added.

Taking a dig at the No-confidence motion Reddy said, “This is just a routine. The government is not going to fall anyway. And I cannot speak English or Hindi. So my presence or absence doesn’t matter, There are others who are well-versed in English and can speak well.”

Earlier, Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan on Wednesday said that the Lok Sabha will hold discussions on the Telugu Desam Party’s (TDP) no-confidence motion against the centre over the Andhra Pradesh special status row on Friday. Addressing the lower house, Speaker Mahajan said,”The House will take up the debate (on the motion) on Friday, July 20th. The discussion will be held for the full day, followed by voting on it.”
