The “Breaking News” video of BJP received a low response from the public and Siddaramaiah took the chance to counter-attack the BJP.
Two days ago when BJP’s Chief Ministerial candidate for Karnataka Assembly Elections B S Yeddyurappa tweeted that he will be bringing a breaking news the next day at 5 PM everyone expected a big expose against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. However, when the breaking news actually came out, leave about giving Congress a sleepless night, it could not even dent the Congress.

On Friday, Yeddyurappa uploaded a video on his twitter made up in a news format while he took up the role of an anchor. Few seconds into the video, he showed some graphics explaining the failures of the Siddaramaiah government. While people expected that BJP will bring up some new counter against Congress, all the video offered was same old allegations. At the end of the video, Yeddyurappa promised that if elected BJP will provide better administration to the state. For the entire duration of the video, a ticker accompanied which said that “Siddaramaiah did not walk the talk”.

However, the video received a low response from the public and Congress took the chance to counter-attack the BJP. Chief minister Siddaramaiah hit back at them saying that BJP is “crying wolf”. He said, “Next time you can do better in crying wolf than this rambling string of lies disguised as statistics.”

Sources from the BJP however, told that the BJP had an exclusive information against Siddaramaiah. However, the central leadership directed them to wait for appropriate time and conduct a press conference instead of making just a to create more impact.
