Former West Indies cricketer Brian Lara admitted in Mumbai Hospital

Mumbai | Former West Indies cricket team captain Brain Lara was today admitted to a local Mumbai hospital due to chest pain.

Lara has been admitted to Global Hospital in Parel after he complained of chest pain. The hospital will be issuing a statement shortly.

Lara holds the record of scoring the highest Individual score in Test Cricket of 400 runs against England along with various other records. The West Indian batsmen played 131 Tests and 299 ODIs for his country from 1990 to 2007. In 131 Tests, he scored 11953 runs including 34 hundreds and 48 fifties. While in 299 ODIs, Lara scored 10405 runs including 19 hundreds and 63 fifties.
