Editorial With Sujit Nair | Brij Bhushan Not Convicted, So Can’t Question Ticket To Son: FM

In a recent segment of ‘Editorial’, HW News’ Managing Editor Mr. Sujit Nair delves into Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s recent statements regarding the decision to grant Karan Singh, the son of Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, a Lok Sabha ticket for Kaiserganj. Sitharaman defended the choice, stating that since there are no convictions against Brij Bhushan, there shouldn’t be questions about their decision. Despite accusations of sexual harassment against Brij Bhushan, Sitharaman argued that many individuals with family members accused of serious crimes still receive party tickets, even in cases where relatives have been convicted. She emphasized that without conclusive evidence against Brij Bhushan, it’s unfair to assume guilt. When questioned why the ticket wasn’t given directly to Brij Bhushan, Sitharaman clarified that they didn’t want to interfere with ongoing processes.
