AIADMK which is fighting for a third straight term in Tamil Nadu has promised voters government jobs, home appliances like washing machines and solar-powered stoves, apart from low-cost housing and home delivery of rations. Stalin’s DMK also said that it will appeal to the Centre to scrap the contentious Citizenship Amendment Act and confer citizenship on Sri Lankan Tamils living in refugee camps in India. “I promised to resolve petitions given by people on basic issues within 100 days. I’ve received around 17 lakh petitions both online & offline. We’ll surely come to power on May 2 & will solve all petitions received within 100 days,” DMK President MK Stalin said while releasing party’s manifesto.
