At an impromptu press conference in Hyderabad on Thursday, Telangana chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao screened footage of what he claimed was proof of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) role in the alleged attempts to “poach” MLAs of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) last week. Ahead of the November 3 by-poll for the Munugode assembly segment, the Cyberabad police, on October 26, arrested three individuals from a farmhouse who had allegedly travelled to Hyderabad to induce four TRS MLAs to join the saffron party in exchange for Rs 100 crore.
