Prime Minister Narendra Modi sparked a row following his comments during a rally in Rajasthan. In an apparent reference to Muslims, he said if the opposition is voted to power, the country’s wealth would be distributed to those “”who have more children”” and “”infiltrators””. Following this, the EC has served a notice to both – Congress and BJP chiefs – over alleged MCC violation. PM Modi isn’t the only leader in recent weeks to have made communal statements. The question is – whether the EC will take action against such remarks?
