Shivsena has past experience in running state, nothing wrong in the demand of equal seats said NCP chief Sharad Pawar
Mumbai| On Friday, National Congress Party Chief Sharad Pawar said that Shivsena’s demand for 50-50 is good and there is nothing wrong in it. Praising Uddhav Thackeray he said the Sena chief has past experience of running the state government.
“In the 1990s also, there was a 50-50 formula for the Shiv Sena and the BJP. So they have past experience. So the Sena can insist, nothing wrong in that,” Sharad Pawar said.
The INC-NCP together has won 102 seats. Congress doesn’t have a prominent face and party is facing a lot of issues. Defending his ally Pawar said, “Congress’s local leaders worked with the NCP. There was perfect coordination.”
As the combination of INC-NCP is facing a lot of issues Pawar added, “Yes, we were facing a lot of problems means of resources, funding communication. The other side was pouring money like anything”.
Looking at the 2019 election Sharad Pawar was called as the juggernaut for the alliance of BJP-Sena. Because of Pawar BJP-Sena was unable to reach the target of 220 seats.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis made a controversial statement over the exodus of leaders from the NCP, Sharad Pawar replied that he is not fully mature but Amit Shah and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s attacks were not good.
“I don’t think the CM is fully mature and he understands So I don’t mind when he commented against me. But comments made by the PM and the Home Minister were not good,” he said.
“I was given Padma Vibhushan, the second-highest honour. If there are so many problems in me, why give me the award?” he said.
Sharad Pawar, who had offered support to the BJP in 2014 before its tiff with the Sena was resolved, said there was no question of going with the Shiv Sena. “They will not approach us as they have an understanding with the BJP,” he said.
