Union Minister of Electronics and IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw, has announced that India will take a significant step in Artificial Intelligence (AI) by developing its large language model (LLM) like ChatGPT, which was created by the USA and Deepseek by China.
Vaishnaw said the AI model will be ready in the next 10 months. While attending Utkarsh Odisha Conclave, Ashwini Vaishnaw told reporters, “Over the last 1.5 years, our teams have worked closely with startups, researchers, professors, etc. Today, we are calling for proposals to develop our foundational model. The model will take care of the Indian context, languages, and culture devoid of biases.”
