“Sachin Pilot Involved In BJP’s Conspiracy Against Govt”, Says Gehlot After Meeting Governor

The Congress party, after his rebellion, sacked Sachin Pilot from the posts of Rajasthan’s deputy chief minister and the party’s state unit chief.

Jaipur| Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot has accused the rebel Sachin Pilot of being involved in the BJP’s conspiracy to bring down the Congress government.

After Pilot was sacked as Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan, Gehlot spoke to media and told that the decision was taken by the high command.

“We were aware of the horse-trading. Finally, the decision was taken by the party high command. The BJP is indulging in horse-trading across the country,” Gehlot said. He went on to allege that Sachin Pilot was involved with the BJP in the conspiracy.

“There is nothing in Sachin Pilot’s hands, it is the BJP which is running the show. BJP has arranged that resort and they are managing everything. The same team which worked in Madhya Pradesh is at work here,” the Rajasthan CM said.

Gehlot spoke with the media after his meeting with Governor Kalraj Mishra. He met with the governor after the sacking of Sachin Pilot and two other ministers.

According to sources, Gehlot intimated Governor on recent developments in the state, caught in the grip of a power struggle between him and Pilot.

The Congress party, after his rebellion, sacked Sachin Pilot from the posts of Rajasthan’s deputy chief minister and the party’s state unit chief.

Party also removed his loyalists Vishvendra Singh and Ramesh Meena from the state cabinet, cracking the whip on the rebel leader.

Sources close to Sachin Pilot said that Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot does not enjoy the majority as they add that the Pilot camp will not attend any party meets until all flagged issues are addressed by the Congress.

On reports of Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra calling Sachin Pilot to discuss the deadlock, sources in the Pilot camp say, “This crisis can’t be handled by some [Congress] leaders who have been sent to Jaipur. There has been no call from the members of the Gandhi family. Reports of some communication having taken place attempt to mislead.”

Saying that attempts are being made to take away the spotlight from issues raised by Sachin Pilot, the Pilot camp clarifies that Sachin Pilot has not asked for additional berths or higher share of seats in the panchayat election. Sources while talking to India today said, “These are attempts to sideline flagged issues. Pilot feels that under the present dispensation, led by Gehlot, the work arrangement has been detrimental to the interest of most leaders and it goes beyond a few ministerial berths or seats.”
