Mumbai| In view of the increasing cases of Coronavirus in Maharashtra, the Uddhav government has taken several major decisions on Sunday. The government has banned dining in restaurants. The government has said that the restaurants will remain open, but there will be a ban on dine-in and parcel facilities will be allowed. Aslam Sheikh, a minister in the Maharashtra government, has said that employees of the government offices will be asked to work from home.

Apart from this, the government has also announced a lockdown on the weekend. This lockdown will come in force every Friday night from 8 am to 7 am Monday. The cases of coronavirus in Maharashtra are reported to be much higher than in other states. Everyday the coronavirus count in the state is touching a new high. Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray convened a high-level meeting today after nearly 50,000 new cases surfaced on the previous day. Many decisions have been taken in this meeting itself.

Uddhav Thackeray, while addressing the public earlier on April 2, did not rule out the possibility of a lockdown. He had said that people have become careless, more restrictions will be imposed in a day or two to prevent crowds in public places. The Chief Minister had said that if there is a decision to impose lockdown, then the financial situation will deteriorate. We must fight Corona with patience. In unison, we have to fight the war against Corona. We have also tried for this. Corona test facility has been provided at 500 places in the state.
