Tablighi Jamaat Members Making Lewd Signs, Roaming Naked In Quarantine Centre, Ghaziabad CMO Complains

The CMO has said that the people of Tablighi Jamaat in the Quarantine Center are walking around without clothes and making lewd gestures towards the nurses.

 

New Delhi| The CMO of Ghaziabad has complained about the people of Tablighi Jamaat living in the Quarantine Center set up at the MMG Hospital to the DM on Thursday evening. The CMO has said that the people of Tablighi Jamaat in the Quarantine Center are walking around without clothes and making lewd gestures towards the nurses. The DM ordered an inquiry into the matter. Police also reached MMG Hospital after receiving the complaint.

After this, 6 patients of Tabligi Jamaat admitted in isolation ward of MMG Hospital were shifted to Rajkumar Goyal Institute of Technology. Here they are quarantined. However, an FIR has also been filed against them for misbehaving with the MMG Hospital staff.

In fact, till Wednesday morning, more than 2000 Jamaatis were evacuated from the building of Markaz in Nizamuddin. Earlier, 167 people of Tablighi Jamaat were taken by bus to Tughlakabad Quarantine Center on Tuesday night at 9:40 AM. They are quarantined in two places. The Delhi government official had told that these people are spitting at the Quarantine Center. They are abusing doctors and supervised staff. One of the Jamaat hospitalized had even attempted suicide.

Campaigns have been launched in more than 22 states in search of people from Markaz. Many of these people have been traced. These include 77 in Tamil Nadu, 43 in Andhra Pradesh, 24 in Delhi, 21 in Telangana, 9 in Andaman-Nicobar, 5 in Assam and one corona infected in Kashmir.

Transmission increased due to people of Tablighi Jamaat – Secretary

Earlier in the press conference held on Wednesday, Health Ministry Secretary Luv Agarwal said that the cases of infection have increased due to the people of Tablighi Jamaat going to different parts of the country. There have been 386 cases in the last 24 hours. Union Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi had said that the Tablighi Jamaat had committed a Taliban crime. This type of criminal activity cannot be forgiven. The Jamaat has endangered many lives. Stringent action should be taken against such organizations and people. It may have been done intentionally and it is unfortunate.
