Guwahati:  Bharatiya Janata Party MLA in Assam Diganta Kalita on Saturday asserted that the country will not accept the Oppositionโ€™s Mahagathbandhan.

Hitting out at Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar and his party Janata Dal (United), Congress, and Trinamool Congress (TMC), MLA Diganta Kalita alleged that they are corrupt. โ€œThey are hungry for power.

They do not think about the nationโ€™s development or the people of the country. India will not accept them,โ€ BJP MLA in Assam Diganta Kalita said.

He also said that while the BJP is more attached to indigenous people and the ethnic groups of Assam, the Congress and All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) are connected with the Bangladeshi-origin Muslims.

โ€œBoth the Congress and AIUDF think only about the Bangladeshi Muslims,โ€ he alleged.

Exuding confidence in victory, Kalita further said that the BJP and its allies will win 12 out of 14 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

โ€œWe will see a Congress-mukt Assam and India in the coming days,โ€ he added.

Notably, the political parties of non-BJP-ruled states have called for united opposition to dethrone the Bharatiya Janata Party, which has been in power since 2014.

The owner identified as Pappu Lal Sahu was arrested near his Global Hospital.
โ€œPappu Lal Sahu, the owner of Global Hospital, was arrested after a dengue patient admitted to the hospital died after he was allegedly transfused fruit juice instead of blood platelets last month,โ€ the police said on Friday.

Earlier on October 29, the registration of Global Hospital and Trauma Center was cancelled on the basis of the recommendation given by the inquiry committee after physical verification of the hospital, Prayagraj Chief Medical Officer had informed.

The committee arrived at a decision after going through the inspection/examination of the records received from the hospital administration, added the Chief Medical Officer.

On October 21, a private hospital in Prayagraj was sealed for allegedly transfusing fruit juice instead of blood platelets to a dengue patient who later died CMO ordered a probe after the patient died.
In the probe, some irregularities were found. It has been sealed till probe is completed, Additional CMO had said.

Prayagraj Development Authority had issued a notice to the Global Hospital to vacate the building by October 28.

The civic authority had termed the building as โ€œillegally constructedโ€. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak had assured strict action against the hospital if they are found guilty. He said that the platelets packet has been sent for testing.

โ€œTaking cognizance of the viral video of Jhalwa-based Global Hospital offering โ€˜Mausambiโ€™ juice to a dengue patient in place of platelets in the district Prayagraj, the hospital has been immediately sealed and the platelets packet has been sent for testing. If found guilty, strict action will be taken against the hospital,โ€ Pathak had tweeted in Hindi.
