Suvendu Adhikari sinks further as a prisoner’s petition claims that he was blackmailed and extorted by the BJP leader.
Kolkata: On Friday, TMC General Secretary Kunal Ghosh requested the arrest of West Bengal opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari, claiming that primary Saradha scam suspect “Sudipto Sen” had claimed to have been blackmailed by Adhikari.
“Sudipto Sen, owner of Saradha in the prisoner’s petition claimed that BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari had blackmailed him & took money from him. We demand that CBI should immediately take Suvendu Adhikari into custody,” Kunal Ghosh stated.
The “original conspirators” of the Saradha scandal, according to Mr. Ghosh, are attempting to elude the law, and he said that Suvendu Adhikari “entered the BJP simply to protect himself.”
“There is a big conspiracy behind the Saradha scam. Original conspirators of the scam are trying to hide themselves. Suvendu Adhikari joined BJP only to protect himself,” Mr Ghosh added.
Kunal Ghosh called Mukul Roy a “BJP leader” and sought his arrest in the Saradha and Narada case.
The TMC spokesperson posted on Twitter and stated, “CBI and ED should arrest BJP leader Mukul Roy in Saradha and Narada case. I have already sent them a letter praying for joint interrogation with him. He is an influential conspirator. He has used different parties only for his personal protection. Mukul Roy should not be spared.”
Following TMC’s overwhelming victory in the West Bengal Assembly elections, Mukul Roy joined the party in June of last year after leaving the BJP. Which has sparked a fresh feud inside TMC, for admitting the leader.
The Saradha Group of Companies is accused of defrauding investors out of 2,500 crore by promising better rates of return.
